About user defined records

You can create new records in a selection project, and specify the data values for each property. The performance of these records can then be compared with records currently in the CES EduPack database.

User defined records could be new materials developed in-house, or a novel processing method. You can create a new record with similar property values to another record by duplicating a current record from the database.

In a selection project, user-defined records are treated differently to standard records. If a user-defined record has a data value missing for one of the properties included in a selection stage, then the user-defined record will automatically pass that stage.

The maximum number of user-defined records you can add to a selection project is 10. To create more than 10 records, or to create a new material database, you will need CES Constructor, which is available with CES Selector. Visit the Granta Design website for further information about CES Selector.

User defined records are saved within the selection project, and are displayed in the 'My records' folder on the browse tree. They are not added to the database. They can only be compared with records in the same data table that the record has been added to.

User defined records can be used in the Synthesizer tool, but not in the Eco Audit tool.
