Plot grouped records on a chart axis

You can create charts with records grouped on the chart axes. Records can be grouped based on links to another data table, or grouped based on the folders in the current browse tree.

To plot grouped records on a chart axis, in the Chart Stage wizard:

  1. Select Single or Advanced Property.
  2. Click Advanced to create a user-defined attribute for the axis.
  3. In the Set Axis dialog, click the Trees tab.
  4. Select the data table from the drop down menu.
  5. Navigate to the required folder, click once to select it, and click Insert.
    • The folder name will appear in the top pane.
  6. Repeat the previous step to add more groups of records.
  7. Click OK to accept the axis and return to the Chart Stage wizard.
  8. In the Chart Stage dialog, set the other axis if required.
  9. Click OK to plot the stage.

Notes

Using data from other tables (cross-tabular selection) is only available if there are links from the selected table to other tables.

The folders available on the tree depends on the Subset for the selected table.

In the Set Axis dialog, a folder can also be inserted into the expression by double-clicking the folder name. To remove a folder from the expression, highlight the text to be deleted and press Delete.
