Set the axis settings of a chart
Change between Linear and Logarithmic display scales, and set axis minima and maxima.
In the Chart Stage Settings dialog:
- Click the X-Axis or Y-Axis tab.
- In the Axis Settings section, click Logarithmic or Linear to set the display scale. If you have the full edition of GRANTA EduPack you may also:
- Click Absolute values to display values on the chart as absolute numerical values
- If a reference record has been set, then click Relative values to display attribute values relative to the reference record, so that the chart is plotted with the reference record at (1,1). This allows easy comparison of other material records to the reference record.
-
To set the axis scale automatically, click Autoscale.
-
To set the axis scale manually, click Set and type in the minimum and maximum values.
Notes
- The default setting is an automatically calculated logarithmic scale.
- A warning will appear on a chart axis if a selected attribute contains negative values that cannot be plotted on a log scale.
- The scale settings are applicable to numeric attributes only.
