Display data ranges as average values

Choose whether to show range data as the maximum and minimum value, or the geometric mean.

In the Numbers page of the Settings dialog

  1. To show a single average value for a range attribute, click in the box Display data ranges as average values to check it

  2. To show the minimum and maximum values, click in the box Display data ranges as average values to clear it

  3. Click Apply.

Notes

This setting determines the display of data ranges throughout the application, e.g. in the Datasheet, Chart Stage, and Selection Results windows.

The data in the database is not affected, only the display of data. The ranking of selection results is not affected.

The average value for the data range is the geometric mean.
