Create or edit a tree stage

Select linked records from other tables to filter by, and view or edit the list.

Create a new tree stage

The branches available on the tree depends on the Subset for the selected table. The name and location of the linked records will appear in the Selected records pane. For example:

  1. Open the Tree Stage window by doing one of the following:
    • In the Selection Project window, under Selection Stages click Tree .
    • Click Select > New Tree Stage.
  2. Enter the stage title and notes. The stage title is displayed at the top of the Stage window, and the stage notes can be viewed from the Notes icon in the stage heading.
  3. Browse the tree and identify the linked records from other tables:
    1. Select the table from the list.
    2. Locate the folder or record in the tree.
    3. Double-click it, or select it and then click Insert, to add it to the stage.
    4. Repeat for all the folders/records you wish to link to.
  4. Click OK.

This performs the selection and updates the Tree Stage and Select: Results window.

Edit a tree stage

  1. To edit a tree stage, double-click the tree stage name in the Selection Stages list to open the Tree Stage window.
  2. Click Settings to view the tree stage links.
  3. Insert or remove selected records as necessary.
    • To remove a record from the tree stage, highlight the record in the Selected records pane, and press Delete.

View the linked records

In the Tree Stage window, click Show. The records that fulfill the link selection criterion for the row are shown.
