Set the display notation for numerical data
Choose whether to display large numbers in standard scientific notation, using exponents that are multiples of three, or matching the exponents of range values.
- Click Tools > Settings, and click the Numbers tab.
- Select the Display Notation option you require:
- Scientific Notation: standard form.
- Engineering Notation: standard form, using exponents that are multiples of 3.
- Matched Engineering Notation: engineering notation, with values for a range displayed with the same exponent.
Notes
The setting for Display Notation affects datasheets and the selection results.
Matched Engineering Notation is only visible on a datasheet.
Constants and Parameters are always displayed in Scientific Notation to 6 significant figures.
