Set the number of significant figures for numerical data

Choose how many significant figures to display on datasheets and in selection results.

  1. Click Tools > Settings.

  1. On the Numbers tab, set the Number of figures by using the arrows to increase or decrease the number, or typing an integer in the field.

    • The number of Significant Figures that can be displayed is between 1 and 6 inclusive.

  2. Click Apply.

Notes

The setting for Significant Figures affects datasheets and the selection results.

Constants and Parameters are always displayed as Scientific Notation to 6 s.f.
