The Synthesizer tool is designed for use in the early stage of product development. It consists of two types of models: hybrid models, for estimating the performance of novel materials and structures; and the part cost estimator, for calculating the cost of a component based on material and process chain.
The Synthesizer tool enables the performance of these materials to be compared with other materials in the MaterialUniverse database.
Records produced with the Synthesizer Tool are called synthesized records. They are displayed in the 'My records\Synthesized' folder on the browse tree. They are stored in the selection project, they are not added to the database.
Synthesized records will be set to pass a selection stage if it contains no data for the selection attributes in that stage.
The maximum number of synthesized records allowed is 250. Synthesized records can be added to a custom subset. Synthesized records cannot be used by the Eco Audit tool.
